Since 1975, SATCO has been supplying general contracting and construction services to the industry. The company’s first construction project, building prefabricated schools in Hofuf, was completed just one year after its inception.
In 2009, SATCO completed the construction of Qatalum Village in Qatar to provide services and accommodations for 10,000 residents ranging from unskilled workers to executive staff. In 2026, SATCO achieved a significant milestone by securing two high-profile projects from Diriyah Company, The Heroes Park project in May and the Grand Boulevard project in October.
Heroes Park Project scope of work is full construction and delivery of all civil, architectural, landscape, infrastructure, and utility works. The scope covers site establishment and preparation — surveys, excavation, utility diversions, temporary works, logistics, and security — and execution of hardscape, softscape, water features, buildings, roads, and infrastructure systems. The works also include quality, safety, and environmental compliance, testing and commissioning, and protection of completed works through to handover, alongside full project management, reporting, and documentation in line with BIM and the project’s digital management systems.
Grand Boulevard Project scope is full delivery of the public realm corridor connecting Diriyah II to Heroes Park. The scope covers demolition, earthworks, roads and paving; complete utility networks including potable water, irrigation, sewerage, stormwater drainage, HV/MV/LV electrical works, and landscape lighting; the full landscape package covering plant procurement, soft and hard landscape installation and maintenance, and shading structures with associated MEP; and signage, wayfinding, and architectural cladding aligned with the wider masterplan. The works also include civils and infrastructure tie-ins, structural verification, smart-city systems integration, sustainability compliance to SITES™, LEED, and Mostadam, traffic management, testing and commissioning, and full handover deliverables including as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and warranties.
SATCO’s contracting activities consist of the following:
General construction: prefabricated buildings, warehouses, commissary, training centers and workshops, chiller buildings, housing, mosques and administrative buildings as well as offices.
Special construction: sewage collection and wastewater treatment plants, airport baggage conveying systems and buildings for the automated control of utilities.
Due to the high demand for specialized construction services, SATCO adapted and expanded its portfolio to offer more specific solutions. Also, SATCO’s collaborative partnership with foreign firms has enabled SATCO to develop its knowledge, acquire new skills, gain innovative techniques and maintain its steadfast growth.
